GNWT Strategic Plan
Early in its mandate, the 15th Legislative Assembly of the Government of the Northwest Territories identified a unified vision, with goals that focus on self-reliance and shared responsibility. Guided by this vision, a 10-year government-wide strategic plan, Self-Reliant People, Communities and Northwest Territories - A Shared Responsibility, was prepared and adopted.
For a version of this plan in the eleven Official Languages of the Northwest Territories: Chipewyan, Cree, English, French, Gwich'in, Innuinaqtun, Inuktitut, Inuvialuktun, North Slavey, South Slavey, Tlicho (PDF).
The Strategic Planning Branch ensures that the Strategic Plan is effectively coordinated and annually updates it, as it is a living document intended to adapt and adjust to the changing needs of the residents of the NWT. The Progress Report and Compendium of Measures Report are available online.
